Southeast Salute
This is what I am most excited for. To start off let me explain what the Governor’s Project is. I want to start off a system that will go beyond just me as a Governor, but will impact and root within every governor after myself. Each year a new project, with a new cause will be started. I want to start a movement within JSA, where we can all unite for the greater good, and all work together to truly make something beautiful. So, i'm sure you are asking “Well what is this project you speak of?” I call it, the Southeast Salute. The entire next year of this program I want to send letters to our veterans overseas, visit them in the VA hospitals, and donate to help all wounded veterans in their recovery. As United States citizens, we all need to pay our respects to those who have served and are currently serving. There is no other program that I would want to represent the teenage population. You have made me so proud, but I know that we aren't done, I am challenging you one last time. My project, my vision for this year is that all of us can come together and respect those in service. The goal is:
This is my legacy I leave for Governors after me. Each Governor shall choose a cause that they will stand behind, and will bring the most powerful voices from the country to stand behind with, and those voices are you. I believe in each and every one of you in the Southeast, you have made me beyond proud, and I only expect bigger and better things to come.
- 1,000 Letters written to those overseas, by Spring State
- Donate $2,500 collectively to veteran aid organizations
- Visit at least 5 VA hospitals to spend the day with veterans and show them that they are not forgotten.
